Passenger Trends at Regional Airports
June 15, 2016: Passenger Trends at Regional Airports in Germany – Current Supply and Demand Patterns, as well as Past and Future Trends for the Period 2000–2030.
This working paper examines market demand and supply at German regional airports. In short, it examines where passengers fly from which airports and with which airlines. The focus is on a comparative analysis of passenger numbers over the past 15 years, including time-series analyses with a focus on the years 2013 and 2015. The analysis compares not only regional airports (Tier 3 airports) with one another, but also with medium-sized (Tier 2) and large (Tier 1) airports.
